Roonda
Overview
Roonda is a structured system for turning repeated time together into friendship. Instead of optimizing for swipes and attention, it is built around the research-backed idea that genuine connection takes repeated face-to-face time, with roughly 100 hours as the threshold where acquaintances start becoming real friends.
How It Works
Each Roonda is a four-week commitment to the same activity, time, and place, while open Roondas act as the discovery layer. Relationship levels unlock as trust is earned, giving people more context, more coordination, and more reasons to move from the event itself into an actual bond.
Technical Note
The system is deliberately local-first: a dense Berlin launch, collision-prevention safety controls, and product logic that rewards repeated offline presence instead of endless in-app behavior. The point is not to keep people on the screen, but to get them reliably back into the same room until friendship has a chance to form.
